3rd times a charm ~

After two previous attempts to make it to Nashville ~

1... had to bypass it on the way home from Texas one year because the interstate was shut down because of snow and ice and

2... second attempt the following year ~ we hit a deer on the way there and couldn't drive our vehicle any further ...

In February ... on Valentine's Day
we FINALLY
made
it
to
NASHVILLE!!

The one place Dear Hubby ALWAYS wanted to see :)  ... me too.

Of course we did all the touristy things ...
we even picked up a few hitchhikers on our way.

Our daughter who lives in Indiana
Our friend from Texas who flew up and met us there
My sister who came along with us for the ride.

Fun!!!

Loved the Country Music Hall of Fame...

showcase after showcase of artists and their outfits and instruments

The gold and platinum record albums...

The artwork on the walls from Nashville Print ~ amazing! Hundred of them .. here's just a smidgin.

Shopping ...

the cheapest purse on this display was equivalent to our mortgage payment ... a little too pricey for me.

Downtown ... a lot of walking

Night life was a blast ... too many Honkey Tonk's and not enough time

... saw Ronnie Milsap in concert ~ the ol' fellar can still sing and play that piano!!

There is so much to see and do in the Nashville area ... we're going back.

I have so many fond memories of this trip ... and a LOT of photos ... that I'm sure will be popping up on future post.  I know ... I "photoloaded" you enough for today.

Just two more photos though ... this is for Paula ~
YES... we still have snow and LOTS of it.

Look at all that ice on the driveway behind Kota ... at least the sidewalk is cleared.

Until next time ...
so it goes in my neck of the woods.

  2. Lol ... Really? That's the pic you post of me??? That's the stress of dealing with family showing there lol! Actually, I think it was just the "camera in my face again" pic.
I love all the pics and great memories were made for sure. I'm so happy I was able to join you on this trip. I definitely want to go back again soon. I'm also happy that Colleen was able to come along. I hope everyone enjoyed their time at my place. Love and miss all of ya!
