I'm a wanting me some slab wood.
There's just something about the rough, uneven pieces that I find appealing. What do you think?? I'm having a hard time convincing Dear Hubby on this one.

Driving home from town this morning ~ beautiful weather we're having ...
... this is for you Sara ... know where we're at ???
... are you still missing northern Wisconsin ???
Old Man Winter just refuses to quit with the snow. Look at the size of these flakes ... they were more like snowballs falling instead of flakes!
Any time now Mother Nature ... you can switch us over to spring.
so it goes in my neck of the woods.

I love that fence. Those pieces of wood sing to me too. they are wonderful. truly they are. we are expecting snow here tonight. SPRING is seriously missing.
ReplyDeleteNow we are going to drop to freezing, but it won't be long. Definitely no snow!
ReplyDeleteI admire slabs. I have seen lots of 'neat projects' from Slab, but that is the first fence and I like it. Tell the Slim guy he can cut out a leaning 'Trapper' for the fence.
Slabs, my only personal experience with slabs is burning them. Works great, for a fun fire, but not serious ones like you guys do! (SMILE)
I love, love, LOVE this fencing! So distinctive and decorative at the same time. What's great about it all is that NO OTHER fence made of the same slab style would be identical!!
ReplyDeleteI think the slabs make a very interesting fence. This one looks like art.
ReplyDeleteI have lived in Wisconsin and Minnesota most of my life. This is my first year in South Carolina and I REALLY enjoyed the winter, all six weeks of it!
I love the header and background for your blog. So perfect for where you live.
Thanks for visiting my blog and commenting.
i rather like that slab wood fence! (minus the cowboy for me, too - never liked those silhouette things). hope you'll link it next thursday! :)
