~ it's been awhile

Mercy!  I can't believe how long it's been since I made a post ... or even visiting the blogging world.  I guess I'm not a very good blogger ... or writer.  I've always had a hard time sticking with something.

That said ... I did stick with the wood burning a little longer than I thought I would.  I really enjoy doing it ... but I do have some difficulty with it.  One .. my vision sucks ... and I need new glasses, and Two ... I need a new heat resistant sleeve on my wood burning pen because it gets so hot so fast that I can hardly hold it but a few minutes at a time before I have to quit and let it cool down.

Any hooooooooooooo...................

I started out doing some birds ...

Then I moved on to some animals done on some trapping stretcher boards ... (just because they were handy and DH wasn't going to be needing them as he has practically given up on trapping because of the poor, low fur prices... another story).

These are just a few ... and I'm still at it despite my handicaps.  My kiddo's did get me a magnifying light for Mother's Day which really helps ... but I still need to get some new glasses!

I hope to start catching up again with my fellow bloggers that are still out there.  AND ... hopefully I can keep myself focused on continuing with this blog.

Until next time ...
So it goes in my neck of the woods.

  2. Ah yes sweetheart, I have missed you. Sherry would tell me about seeing you on FB. I think More bloggers are going there. That aside we have always admired your talent and art. I like to dab in acrylics but cannot make myself do a lot of things. LOL
