i'm back ~ did you even know i was gone?

Dear Hubby and I, along with my sister and her hubby went for a weeks vacation 'up north'.  A little further north then we already are ... a couple hours away into northern Minnesota for a week.  Our week was cut short because of the weather; but we did manage to get in three evenings of fishing.

We were fishing for panfish ~ bluegills, perch and crappies.

We did okay ... just wish that we would have been able to get out on the lake more than we did.  The weather just wouldn't cooperate.  It was raining ... which we don't mind; but when it's thundering and lightning and white caps on the water from the wind ... then we take a back seat to the fishing expedition.

Here's one evenings catch when we did get out ...

... and we saw a beautiful sunset ~

9:45 p.m. on Little Bowstring Lake

Too bad the weather didn't cooperate all the evenings like that one.  Oh well ... you take what the Good Lord gives and make the best of it.

Speaking of God's beauty ... here's some pretty Lady Slippers growing wild in the ditch ...

It was a relaxing week ... even though it was cut short.  Memories were made that will be forever cherished.
Now back to reality ... catching up with the lawn work and garden.  Life is good.

Until next time ...
So it goes in my neck of the woods.
