This is Myron Florens and kids from the Lawrence Welk show ... I know ~ more aging ourselves!
Remember awhile back when I posted about Dear Hubby having a gathering one afternoon with his Aunt Cookie and brothers ...

Well ~ Aunt Cookie thought it was important for the younger generation to learn the chicken dance... so she gave lessons. What a hoot!
Do you have an Aunt Cookie in your family? I hope so!
I hope your summer holds this kind of memory ~ laying in the grass ... catching up with your cousin.
Bailey and Lilly |
Have a wonderful summer ... making cherished moments with family and friends:)
Until next time ...
So it goes in my neck of the woods.

ReplyDeleteYour family knows how to work but they sure know how to have fun too! Those cousins are too cute.
ReplyDeleteNow, you need to teach her the Funky Chicken from the early 70's!~
ReplyDeleteHi sweetheart! the entry makes me want to just HUG you! What a great entry about family. I shoulda been there never danced with or about a chicken! LOL
ReplyDeleteBailey and Lilly are just beautiful, and the shot catches something that little girls only have, a giddy inner love.
Take care and hope that your Sunday was great.
Sherry & jack down here.
My entire clan knows the chicken dance! We used to do it at the rink, when my kids were young. Brings back good memories, thanks!
ReplyDeleteI used to do the chicken dance to get my neice to eat...back in the day when she was in her high chair!
ReplyDeleteBrings back memories... :)

I don't have an aunt Cookie (wish I did) but I know the chicken dance. I like The Cotton Eyed Joe too and Put Your little Foot. Oh heck I just like to dance.
ReplyDeleteWhat fun!!!
ReplyDeleteMel, these are keepers. What a great time for the loves and Grandloves with Aunt Cookie. She sure doesn't change any. She's still looks like a young chick and I know she's a lot older than me...sorry Cookie/Linda, Dear! Love that she taught the kids. Sweetest shot of Bailey and Lilly. I just love it. Also wonderful picture of the boys with their dear Aunt. Loveit, Loveit, Loveit!
