a beautiful day~

Psalm 118:24

This is the day which the LORD has made;
Let us rejoice and be glad in it.


drooping sunflowers 
and 
my tired old dog 

 apple trees ~ with a bountiful harvest to come

a bear's paw print and a raccoon print in the mud 


staghorn sumac blooms ~ a true sign of fall
 

 a single morning glory bloom 


~ a spider on the coleous


 a sneezeweed blossom amongst the pansies


 vibrant colors of the King Coleous


 fresh dug potatoes ~ waiting to have the dirt rinsed off

 sedums

 cosmos
 nasturtiums
 Yes ...
It's a beautiful day.


I gotta go do something constructive ~ I think I'll make some JELLO!!!

  2. Great photos. The potatoes remind me of when I was a child. I didn't mind that but when the potato supply had been nearly used up I had to dig through them and find some good ones. Many a time I ran my hand into a rotten one and that is just plain gross.

  5. I still can hear Mom and Dad reciting that verse to one another every single day, and what a deep impression it made on all 9 of us.
    This IS the day the LORD has made....and it truly Has been a beauty. Your yard is gorgeous still.

    Loved walking and talking around your yard with
    you the last few weeks...what a GREAT time we
    had! I really enjoyed sitting around the fire pit at
    night playing guitar and singing with you and
    your family...just wish we could have remembered
    all the words to the songs!
    That Bailey Jean and her memory!!! WOW. She can't
    even read and knows more songs than us a the tender
    age of 4??? She'll be on American Idol one day.
