finger lickin good bars~

I was asked on a prior post for this recipe.  I'm only too happy to oblige.

Finger Lickin' Good Bars

1 Cup butter
1 1/2 Cups brown sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
2 1/2 Cups flour
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix and press into a 9 x 13 cake pan.  Bake 10 minutes @ 350 degrees.  Cool.

In a double boiler melt:
1 (12 oz.) package of semi sweet chocolate chips
1 Cup peanut butter

Frost the cooled crumb mixture with the chocolate and peanut butter.  Let cool to set.  Enjoy!

  5. Hi Mel, Still cannot get your comments to come up on my blog or the Blogger Update. Thanks for commenting on mine.

For a peanut butter lover like me, those bars sound incredible. I have always loved peanut butter --and have to be careful or I'll eat WAY too much of it... Thanks for this recipe.
    Hugs,
    Betsy
