ReplyDeleteyou and Maxine are soul sisters, for sure.

I know exactly what you experienced (though my moment would be a MAX moment, ha.). Hearing loss helps you to hear the hilarious things - and then sometimes the utmost confusing things. I think that has to be where the old saying came from; "What's that got to do with the price of eggs in China?" I have a pair of $4,000 hearing aids but they are not near as much fun as what I hear without them! I bought a $15 hunter's hearing device and I can hear a whole lot better with it! So what I'm suggesting to folks who ask about hearing aids - go slow...test the device and see whether it works for you before you buy.
ReplyDeleteIsn't Maxine just wonderful???? She says it like it is!!!!!! Love her!!!
ReplyDeleteI hope you did have a great birthday, Mel... I'm sure you did!!!
Hugs,
Betsy
Hey Mel, I never knew we were the same age. Both of us pushing 40, we must be twins! I have those maxine moments quite often, folks enjoy a laugh, who cares if it is at my expense. haha!
ReplyDeleteSometimes the ringing in my ears drowns out the message. Gotta love Maxine.
ReplyDeleteHope you had a wonderful day.
:) That is so funny...hope you had a wonderful birthday!
ReplyDeleteMaxine is so funny...tells it like it is! I'm not sure I need a hearing aid yet...probably a good ear cleaning would help LOL. Hope you had an extremely happy birthday!
ReplyDeleteHappy belated Birthday! hope it was a good one... and "warm" in spirit!
