I've been pretty sick this last month ...
It started out with the GED testing and finding out that I have a huge ulcer tearing away in my stomach, the lower esophagus and upper intestines. Whatever meds I tried ... nothing was calming that storm. FINALLY ... after trial and errors ... I'm FINALLY getting some relief. No more vomiting and painful esophageal spasms that were acting like a heart attack. That was just plain nasty!!
Then this whole business with my breast came up ... and needing surgery asap on that. Talk about a PAIN. I usually have a very high tolerance for pain ... but this time it really got the better hold of me. THANKFULLY ~ by the grace of God (and Vicadin) ... I am FINALLY feeling on the upswing of the whole situation.
I still have stitches to contend with ... and don't see the doctor now until the 27th ... my "work level" is limited ... especially the lifting ... I am working now at becoming the Queen Diva of Couch Potatoes :) ... actually, that's what I was before all this ... but now I'm perfecting the practice.
A couple more days and this lily is going to be gorgeous!! Look at all the buds coming. |
I took a stroll around the yard this morning ... before it got too hot out. Seriously, if you don't have central air or air conditioning ... mercy... go get some! What's up with this huge heat wave moving so slowly across the country? and the humidity ... yikes!
My lilies are opening ... I just love them!
It's good to be feeling like 'me' once again. I even shook a broom at Rambo this morning for knocking over a flower pot on the deck. I scared him and now he's afraid to come up on the deck. So what's he go and do? He runs out by the highway. Some gal in a van sees him and comes up to the house asking if I own a hound dog. I told her yes, and she said he was out by the highway. Oh great... now he's ticked off at me and is going to run away from home. Typical teenager. I don't have that kind of energy to go chasing this dog. She said she'd try to catch him. I told her, if she leaves him alone he'll come home. He's just sulking because he got scolded for knocking over a flower pot. Sure enough. 10 minutes later he's back, laying on the edge of the lawn, staying off the deck. Sam stopped in ... made the dog all happy again and all is well.
Oh yeah ... momma's back ... not up to full speed; but feeling more like myself again.
Until next time...
So it goes in my neck of the woods.

ReplyDeleteThanks for calling after our visit this morning, with the fantastic news. I got off the phone and cried and thanked God for yet another prayer answered. Don't overdo it girl. You had a hard time with that car door, so don't go shaking anymore brooms. Like you said, wait and the dog will return.
