birds and blooms~

I love the thistle seed sock feeders ... and so do the birds.

We're still buried under the snow banks... and dreaming of spring and warmer days.

I was going through some old photos and came across some of my flower bed pictures. It's kind of sad that  they have such a short growing season here in northern Wisconsin; so when my flower beds are blooming ~ I'm smiling :).

and so is my dog ...

and ...
my frog.

I'm so looking forward to the end of February.  We'll still be buried under a ton of snow here in Wisconsin; but that's when we're taking our road trip south to Texas.  I was talking with my sister on the phone.... and a trip to the Japanese Botanical Gardens of Ft. Worth is on the agenda.  I can't wait!!!

Until next time ...
So it goes in my neck of the woods.

  1. Mel: Neat shot of the sparrows and finches on the feeder. Your Summer flowers are really neat.

  3. Hi Melody, Thanks for visiting my blog. I am enjoying yours --and cannot imagine the winter weather that you have up there in northern Wisconsin.

I love snow---but obviously, being a southern gal, I have never seen much of it at one time. My hubby (born and raised in Indiana) hates snow... Oh Well!!! He's lucky since we don't get much snow here in Tennessee.

Great pictures... Makes even a snow-lover like me yearn for spring!!!!

Come back to my blog anytime...
    Hugs,
    Betsy

  5. Well, now that is one fine flock of finches you have there...maybe if I bought more seed, my flock would return...they're all at the neighbors.
Nice to see your flowers. They always look so inviting coming up your driveway. Can't wait for the first blooms in the woods.
