feeling better~

After a LONG week of a terrible backache ... I am happy to report that I am finally feeling like I'm on the upswing of things.  Hallelujah!  Thank you everyone for your prayers and concern.

I had overnight guest last night.  My oldest daughter, Staci, and two of her girls ~ Brooke and Bailey came over to spend the night.  They only live about 7 miles from me; but the girls thought it would be fun to have a sleepover at Grandma's with their Mom.  They're funny kids.

Today, Sam is suppose to get my car put back together ~ but now I'm wondering if he'll be able to or not because I'm not sure if the place where he's buying my car's new brake pads is even open.  I forgot about it being a holiday weekend.

Don made it back from Indiana ~ where he had to go and check on his old house and had a job interview.  I guess the job interview wasn't what he was hoping for ... so they are NOT moving.  Looks like the newlyweds will be staying in northern Wisconsin for a bit longer.  It sure would be nice though if they could get the house sold down in Indiana ~ paying a mortgage and rent isn't easy on the pocketbook.

My Mom got all the new siding and paint picked up for the house ~ now as soon as the windows get delivered  the guys will be starting that project and hopefully will be done with it before snowfall.   Slim just wants to get it done as soon as possible because trapping season is coming up and he has a harvest tag this year for a bear.  He wants to help; but also wants to be able to do his hunting.  It's kinda hard sometimes to find the time when working such long hours at the papermill.

I'm going to lay low today yet and let my back rest up a bit more.  I sure hope this flare up is over with.  It was a rough one.  Once again, thank you everyone for your love and concern when I was down and out.

Until next time...
So it goes in my neck of the woods.

  1. I'm glad to hear you're feeling better. It's hard to live with that kind of pain, and a day of it seems like a week. And the light at the end of the tunnel allows you to finally take a deep breath again. Yes, keep resting.

  2. So glad you are feeling better. I have back pain every day and Joe does to. If a pain pill would take care of it, it would help. I agree with your commenter that rest is the best medicine but of you are like me Your body won't let your mind rest. Make sense?? Take care.

  4. Whoopee! Glad Thou art Feeling better. thougth I'd throw that Bible talk in to keep the prayers working!!!!

It is nice the family wanted to stay over. means they like you (or Slim).

So, tell him not to worry. I told Debbie's husband Gary that I had a tractor with no brakes and he said, "Brakes are for sissies!"

hope all goes well with Mama's house, she is one fantastic lady.

Slim will work out the trapping ahd hunting thing, the boys usually do.
    Lay low and take care.
